My first long run since I had my biopsy, 13.4 miles. Everything hurts now.I told hubby I can't do anything this afternoon, meaning cooking/ eating out and other things.
The second 13 miles I have done so far. One just days before my biopsy and now, two weeks after my biopsy. Things a healing pretty good. It's A big push to do this now. I am supposed to do long runs at least 13 miles according to hubby once a week. He wants to know and see if I have the resistance and endurance to do it and maybe more.
13.4 miles took me 2:49 hrs. A little bit okay to me since I am not going for anything but finish the run. But hubby said, must think of how much you will be hurting doubling that time. So, I need to programmed something in my head about that.
I had almost the same amount of time on my first long run. I don't think I can go anymore faster than that. I will just focused on resistant and endurance for the long run. I walked some part but maybe worth 5 minutes alltogether.
The part that I hate the most is the afterwards effect. I felt drained and wants to sleep. I'm cranky and husband hates that attitude!!I have taken tylenol to eased some pain and feels good right now but my brain doesn't seem to want to do anything but sit and maybe sleep. HUH Hopefully I can have some smiles for hubby when he gets home which is soon.
Hubby is very nice to me. I cannot complain. He'd bring food home on this times that I don't feel like standing in the kitchen slicing food and try to cook them. Mind you, he is on bike most of the times going to and from work, so my food choice has to be something not watery, so it won't leak on his backpack. [hehehe] Today, he will bring chicken sandwich from Vietnamese restaurant. That should be more than enough for dinner. He is proud of me that I am participating into healthy stuff, just like him. I guess I have no reason not doing it since Matthew do not need much of my attention, 12 yrs old, can do things on his own.
I hope to gain more endurance for more long runs as the days for marathon is just right around the corner. And also I hope NOT to get injure before the marathon or else..:-(
