Fourth of July

June went by so qiuickly that didn't know it's July already!. It was Canada Day on the first and tomorrow will be celebrating 4rth here in US.

It will be my sister's first fourth of July here in United States. I am still in aw that she's here. I am so happy for her and her first born, Irene. She gets to enjoy such freedom and the happiness seing her daughter and her family growing. I will be seing them shortly after the celebration.

I am looking forward for tomorrow as husband and daughter are off work. We will have a cook out here at my place and will use the hot tub and all. Hopefully family friends will make it here as well. The backyard is quite ready for fun.

The weather is supposed to be awesome. It's been hot here lately. We've been using our wall ac and today the additional portable ac came. So husband will be doing more "reading" stuff for it. The forecast is more than warm. yeah. that's how we like it.

Thought I'd add some of bird photos I got from yesterday. They are enjoying my backyard as well.

It was very very hot day and of course every one is feeling hot and thirsty!.

This hummingbird somehow is very friendly. I set up that feeder so close to me, about 3 yards. It's so cute.

Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS19K point and shoot

I've have been wanting to get a good photo of a hummingbird by my backyard. I have lots of flowers that they come to. The problem I ran into all the time is that my camera isn't good to get a good photo of them since they are moving faster than you can think and they usually fly near me and just difficult to get a good  close up shot.

I have many photos of them trying to get nectar out of my gladiola and other flowering plants that they love to come to but I have no luck. 

So, last week, I decided to purchased a feeder just for the them. They really move fast and so for me the solution is to have them where they actually land and take a sip while I take their photo. huh! . And so, the luck I have sitting, waiting for it to come by and get a good shot was a huge. Huh! I got few of them and I rezise them to fit in here.

So, that's what my Panasonic- Lumix DMC-ZS19K 14 megapix captured. I am quite happy since it's a point and shoot camera.
