making succulents dish

I have this hypertufa I made last year. I had it sit around to cure. Well, they say the longer it sits around not being used will last longer. Well, we will see about that, but it's been a year and I'm excited to just fill it up with something fun to make.

I used the large bubble wrap as my plastic to make sure my tufa mix don't stick to my mold. And it turns out very nice. I also have a dish that I made out of small bubble wrap and I will fill it up with succulent when I get time.

So, i decided to gather most of my tiny furry cactus that I have around in it's tiny little pot and put them all in that big, and shallow tufa I made. 

I went to Joan Fabric store near my house a while ago to find some discounted stuff and found that little guy reading a book. I thought it's cute just to have it sit there next to cactus that seems have plenty of needles. hahaha. Every time I passed the pot, I giggle myself to death looking at the parrot, reading at the cactus. LOL. 

So simple to put them all together and yet the feeling of rewards is so enormous. It last until the project disappear from y our sight. I'm  more than definitely you feel same way after  seeing your project  gets finished. 

I want to do more of this kind of dish. Seems easy. I have been comfortable with the mix I make so far. 

June had been here.

Months had passed, no visible entry I made. And today I aml!!

Been doing great myself here. Did some projects and lots of gardening. I also made another new set of  curtains for my pergola.

Project that I am so proud to have found and really enjoy it. I stumble on some word, Hypertufa. When I came across of that word, I thought to myself what a foolish name of something. Well, out of my curiousity, I googled it and hold and behold, it's a lot of fun thing to do. I love to do anything with my , well, bare hands. And so I put myself to work.

I made myself a frame for this one. I want to be able to make multiple of same size but different colors. This is the first one from that frame. I realized the more I worked with the mixtures the better I can figure out for better results. So, I made 3 out of it and of course it had to sit for a day in it. Making mistakes will only make you better in the long haul. One of the 3 that I made, crumbled to pieces when husband tried to move it from where it was drying. Many things I noted not to do. Painting was more clossing the project.

I did not paint this one. For sure, the smaller project you choose or container, the better it is doing it.

This is another project that had to be done. And I enjoyed every bit doing it. That's the post for my green grapes that kind of dressed up my backyard/swimming pool area.

Buying stuff at Joann Fabric is never boring. The fabric I picked for my pergola is same thing from the first one I made, Muslin. It's easy to sew and cutting wasn't an issue but measuring and trying to make it same length was more of a challenge but I did it and got it up for Father's Day weekend, 2013.

I have so many projects in line and are waiting for perfect timing.
