Lots to report

Months had gone by and many things had happend. So much things I got my hands on and so rewarding seeing the end results. Family has had good times over the summer and we all wish it didn't have to end.

Well, I had fun "raising" some monarch this year. It all started me buying a packet of some seeds that's for butterflies and decided to just spread some on a small plastic planter. And it grew and gone tall and had to trimmed it. It had lot of aphids so to control them I had to cut the plant down to almost nothing left. And when it grew some more, a monarch moma laid eggs, lots of egss. I didn't really know what to do with them and consulted google. With what info I found, I decided to watch them until they become butterfly. It was fun watching them. My time was so consumed by them when they changed from one, two, three and the fourth stages.

Another thing I got my hands on is DSLR. I am so happy to have it. And now, my photography is taking lots of headache and frustration but though, seeing the end result is very rewarding. I still have a long way to learn lots of stuff. I do take time for it and now, collecting lenses is where I'm at.

And the on going projects in and around the house by me and hubby are looking pretty darn good. We finally got the roof fixed. No we didn't do that ourselves. We contracted a company with great reputation and it took just little over a week to do the whole entire roof. They took the old roof and replaced the sheets and what not. Though we kept the old tile.

Husband and I took charged of the windows. He took down all the old windows. We ordered wood windows for all the windows. Lots of work we had to do but we did it together and learn each other's strength and weaknesses when working together as a team. I did all the paintings and we both fitted them together. Overall, we are more than pleased of our labour's outcome. We gain more power tool and so happy for it.

We remodeled Matt's old room. Hubby took the ceiling down and now it looks really great with wood exposed with stain.

I stripped old paint off the cabinet in the kitchen nook. It took me two weeks with the two cabinets. It was really tiring work. At least 8 hours every day. I learnd how to use heat gun and love the tool. I wish I learnd how to use it years ago when hubby and I tried to stripped off the paint on all the wooden windows we have.

Finally, the four of us got the time to see Maui. We had so much fun.
  • We did a lot of snorkeling. Seeing sea turtles everyday and pretty colorful fish were the most we got to put our time in. For myself, i didn't know how to snorkel and be comfortalbe in the water. I was very pleased myself of how to use the snorkel and float or swim.
  • We all got to do the most fun thing, scuba diving. At first my daughter and I weren't going down with the boys. We payed for then to go down and me and daughter will be snorkeling while waiting for them with the group. But during the ride going to Mokolinni, the owner said that there were two more spots for diving if we wanted to. So right there we had to say yes. I know hubby had been planning and wanting for all of us to experienced and so this it it. It was all fun doing down and seeing lots of different types of fish. I learned how to blow the water out and still not as good. But enough to have good experienced and the best part that my whole little family are all together doing it.
  • The last sport thing we did was the 10 line zipline. Boy, was it ever fun hanging by yourself and hope to God you won't fall off..LOL. it was all good. I realized how much fun it really is.
