Air propagation. I tried one last year with my blueberries. I was able to root it but after I cut and planted it in a pot somehow the leaves fell off of it. I hide the plant all this summer in a shaded area. I still see that the bark has green color on them so that tells me that it's alive. But will see in the spring if it will have any additional life to what it has now.
Air layering a blueberry bush. |
So, last week, i made two air propagation. One on the blueberry again and one on the lemonsito. I used a cloth to hold the dirt on the bark of the bush then wrapped it with a plastic bag to hold the moisture in.

Another one I grafted was this lemonsito on the orange tree that I have grown from seed. I am so curious of the outcome.

I also made two attachments on a lemon tree that is well mature. I used surgical tape that hubby found at his parents home. The lemon tree looks like it had band aid on. Well, guess it is since it's been cut and needs to heal.
