Gracefully recovering

Been four days now since I had the surgery.

Yesterday, June 02, 2012 (Saturday) husband took the gauge off of my knee. It looks healthy and not swollen.
whiskers growing on my knee.

  1. Wednesday= surgery day. came home. took some heavy drugs for  the pain, pill for keeping it from swollen and a pill for UTI, yes i had to take it the day before the surgery. They found it through urine culture.
  2. Thursday= walked with only one crutch.!! success. I didn't take pain killer either. just the UTI and the inflammatory med. Washed my hair in the kitchen sink.. felt like in the Philippines.yes, we know how to conserved water and at the same time cleaned..!! haha..brought back memory. I used to bathed my kids in the sink..!! when they're babies.
  3. Wednesday= gauge came off! yes, it felt so good to have shower. UTI pills was done. Only inflammatory pill. I walked sometimes with my crutch kind of dragged.
  4. Thursday= that's today.!! well, I feel like i want to get on the stationary bicycle but a bit apprehensive about it. maybe tomorrow will be the day.
So, only on Wednesday that I didn't go outside to watch someone watering my plants. Herb did it for me. nice move buddy. He impressed me a whole lot.

On Thursday afternoon, Matt watered my plants after his guitar lesson. Of course I was there to kind of guide him on how to water. That boy will hear what he wants to hear.. but I had to give him 2 thumbs up.

On Friday morning, My daughter came to help out. She watered my plants. She got to know some of my plants and what I had in the ground. She was tickled about the tiny little purple yams I had growing on top of the ground. I don't know why some were growing on top since I buried them and they are supposedly to stay in the ground. She got me groceries and cooked for me and my family. Wonderful kid. She got to know how to cook sabaw, Philippine soup that she's always been asking me to show her how to do it. Not only that she learned how to do it but also to disassemble the whole chicken...hahaha.. she did a great job I must say.
First time disassembling a whole chicken.!! one leg at a time..
She is fast learner in anything. She certainly got the hang of cutting the chicken in pieces..proud of you my child. You have become a sweet woman, thoughtful, graceful, resilient, respectful and proud of that. I love that you love cooking.

All in all now is that i am recovering gracefully and looking forward for the day i can run again. I can see myself training for the half Ironman. Yes, that is THE plan..

chao for now.
