Atrophy and things

Is a new word i found yesterday..haha.. yup am so happy to have found it and what it means.

  • Atrophy is a wasting or decrease in the size of an organ or tissue, as from death and reabsorption of cells, diminished proliferation of cells, pressure, lack of oxygen, malnutrition, decreased function, or hormonal changes.
So, my legs losses it's muscles. It has been 3 weeks now that I am not using muscles with them. I walked  here and there but not running where I can actually feel my muscles on my calves and thighs thick. Oh well..I will make some when I'm able to. No hurry or worries. But that's not true. I am worried right now knowing I don't have muscles there.

I did some cross training at the gym a week ago. And from that time I have been experiencing some pain behind my leg as if it's cramping or some nerves damage of some sort. The pain I am feeling is like getting off from the leg being asleep or as if my leg just got defrosted..LOL.i know it sounds weird but that is the closest I can describe my pain.

I walked and eventually ran on the treadmill couple days ago. I did all together maybe 20 mins of it. I was running on the pace of 18 miles per hour...that's hilarious but I take what I can just so I'm moving.

And with all that plus weight, when I'm on my feet standing at the kitchen washing dishes, I have this pain that many times I have to sit and recline my legs. Pain goes away but that is so much irritation and frustrations as well.

So having all that crying and crap, I had to make an appointment to see my orthopedic on Tues next week.

Yesterday and today gave myself time off of the gym. I couldn't water my lawn much yesterday due to the pain. I hope this goes away since I'm still halfway through my estimated time recovery. But so frustrating. The pain isn't coming from the surgery itself.

I hope to hear good things next week from my doctor. I am worried that he might have to do some surgery. Or what if he disturbed some nerve and i wonder what he is going to do about it.
