Good and bad things happened

Let me start by the good things.

  • Went to celebrate Thanksgiving with my Father-in-law this year. He's been doing good. It's his first Thanksgiving without MOM. He misses her very very much, we can tell.
  • Was able to do gym while there, Christiansburg. After the 3 days pass, we just ran around the track. I was able to do my speed training which was almost awful. Didn't make much  difference but I tried. I think that type of training must be almost everyday or some sort to see the difference. I guess I can go to Cal State school near us to do that training.
  • We drove back to Maryland. We stayed at my niece. My niece made dinner to accommodate us and her in-laws and it was yummy. She made some chicken cooked in oven that was marinated with some vinegar that Herb likes a lot. I should make them one day.
I had to stay back with my niece for at least 11 days to be with her during her labor. She gave birth to a very healthy boy, 9lbs.2ounces. She ended up having a C-Section. She tried for the normal birth but baby was just big. But everything went well with the surgery. With-in 30 minutes she was gone from my sight to the surgery room, baby came. Her husband was the only one allowed being in there or otherwise.

I am lucky to have the opportunity to be at her labor or sort of. I never had been  at this end of the situation, so in ways it's good experience.

Now the bad part of things.
  • I had been sick, really sick. I have had sever UTI infection. I started having it from the time Herb left for home. I ignore it thinking it will go away since I kept drinking water. Towards the end of my stay there in Maryland, I started getting chills at night. I thought it was just from being so tired and no sleep. But when I was on the plane that really sucked. I was so cold and had no blanket to use. I survived the 5 hours flight home. Got home and husband wasn't really expecting me being sick. So after he prepared lunch for both of us which was so sweet of him, I went to sleep. I got chills and took Tylenol.
  • 3 days after my arrival home, I decided to go to the Urgent Care in Pasadena. In there they told us that I have infection. Hours later they gave IV with antibiotic plus the morphine that I really need. My stomach was just untouchable. We were there for hours, but happy that I went and that I have meds.
  • I lost all my muscles in my body. I have not been in the gym for a month now and not able to run either. But I will take this opportunity as resting really good. When I'm ready for it then I will put all my force to get back to where I was.
Christmas is in few days and I have not shop for anyone. I need to get stuff for my friend and for my daughter and her bf. Hopefully Herb can find time to do it.

We will be going to Cristina's party later today. My friend offer to take Matt but Herb rather to take him with us. It's nice of her to think about it and offer.

Herb was able to sent money to Neneng yesterday for their x-mas. I was frustrated yesterday trying to find out to get to her. But I was able to get in contact with her and that was fixed.

I had not been out to attend to my plants and that. I am still in recovering mode. I felt I need myself to get completely better before I do anything.

My daughter was able to spend a day here with me. I felt better having her to come over..hehehe. sometimes you just have to have someone around that you don't see everyday to change your mood. I had lunch with her. She pulled white hair off my head. She thought it was grouse but I wanted her to do it since my head was itching bad...hehehe.
She was also able to enjoy my Thai soup for our dinner. It was good to hear from her that she had a great day and so was I. Matt was happy to see her as always. Herb was just happy to see everyone was happy.

She was proud that she was able to pick  her little brother from the music lesson in high school ground where she spent 2 yrs of high school. Matt is participating in Honors Orchestra and is held after school in high school.

I think that is all I need to blabb this time. I do have lots of pictures to share but I don't have energy to do any of cropping and that..
