Missed you mom , terribly

We are back to celebrate Thanksgiving here with Dad. We came by at your place yesterday when we arrived in Christiansburg. I hope you like the Persimons we brought you. They are very yummy and soft just the way you like 'em.
We were silent standing next to you for a while. We really missed you mom.

Did you see Herbie got the FIAT?. For some reason I wasn't clued in about the story of FIAT and Herbie, until dad told me and Matt about it yesterday.  Then it all came back...he told me about his love affair with Fiat a while back. This time, dad didn't have to get Herbie.. he got the almost brand new one from  ALamo, Friday morning.

Fiat

We stayed at my niece that day and night to get some rest. We really don't know why we pick evening to travel since we get beat up the next day. But I am happy to be able to stay at my niece's house and see how happy she is to have us around. She prepared such dinner that night that I felt guilty about. she prepared the dinner while I was getting some sleep.  I hope she can wait on me on Friday so i can also be there with her to welcome her first born.
Irene at less than 2 weeks before the due date.

It's never going to be the same here from the time you left. It has been difficult for all of us here but mostly Herbie and Dad. We had a group hug yesterday next to you. I know, we sometimes seems to be mute, but nothing seems to come out of our mouth but tears instead. We could easily used a blanket.  We really missed you terribly.  I hope that you are having fun with grandma and grandpa.
Dad was showing me his new toy, walnut cracker. I'm sure he would've love to show it to you too. He told me today how much he loves you....i cried silently..

I want to tell you that Herb and I did another marathon. I did very well and so as Herb. He was so proud of himself I also want to tell you that Matt is doing so well in school. He makes sure he's got good grades to carry him in high school and into college and wants to be like his papa. I know you are so proud of Matt.  He has got some extremely great  traits from you, the math. He loves math. Him and his papa has got something to talk about for sure.

We had good dinner again at the house tonight. Donny came and entertained all of us as you probably know. Dad really makes good ham. I remember you telling us how great cook he is and that you are so proud of him... we surely missed you at the table tonight. Matt love grandpa's ice tea, I guess they both discover something else every time you leave them alone that makes them bond.

I was talking to a friend of mine that just lost her mom less than a month ago. She is very sad. All I can give her is my (phone) honest support. It's good to cry together even if it's only the phone. I can relate to her sadness.
