Things are looking up.

Yes, for the most part of this entry will be that part.. A happy part..

  • Yesterday, was my very first swimming lesson. yup, Not that I can't swim a little bit or swim under water for a quarter of a minute, but I need to know more than that. The goal is to be able to swim  a mile without stopping in the middle of an open water.
I had expressed my concern me getting drown to my son and husband. Dialogue went like this..this was during getting our bikes out to go to the swimming pool of the city which was 5 minutes bike time or less..
  • Son said, " are  you afraid mom" ? of course, I said..
  • Son tapped my shoulder and said.." don't worry mom, I know you will be able to stand on your two feet and if you are nice to the coach, she or he might put you in the deeper end.." I said.." what do you mean deeper end..? my eyebrows went up!
  • Son said... "the deeper end of the kiddie pool mom."  and we laughed hard. Father said, what's going on.. I replied, " son said I will be put in the kiddie pool area because I am really nervous. then he said, yeah, for sure you won't drown..
  • Son said.. " seriously mom? you are that afraid of drowning..that's why they have lifeguards on the site"..to help you out ...ONLY if you are not coming up within 1 minute..LOL>. "
They know I can swim but not much. I've drank many ounces of  chlorine pool water trying to do the freestyle and still can't get it down.

So yesterday, I learned how to do breast stroke.  hmm. I wonder where or how this name came about.. Because the coach saying " you don't have to bring your arms way down, just kind of above your chin.".. I paused my thought there and concentrate on what he was telling me..

It was 45 minutes session  and I said to the coach.."we're done already".. and he said yes..but if you come in early tomorrow, you can that end side of the pool to practice.  So today, I am looking forward to do more..

3 more days for my son's summer camp and I won't hear no more complaints about .."oh it's too early to get up".. or seeing him sneaked back into his bed after eating his breakfast..He is looking forward for sure.

And that means for me, more time to do..
