Off we went to see Matthew's grandparents on his last day of school, June 10, 2011. We stayed there for 9 days. With those days we were able to do some activities in between visits..
We biked one afternoon after doing the gym . Matt enjoyed biking on trail. The trail is paved and it goes under the trees, crossed a busy road, passed many farms and crossed an old bridge which looked very nice from a far but driving on it was hilarious because a nut flew out of Matt's bike from too much bumping..LOL. I was only able to take pictures on our way back home using one hand. I wasn't planning on taking photos while driving the bike but my company didn't want to stop for anything. I said to myself that if this camera falls off of my hand , I'll blame my boss for not asking ME if I want to take pictures!! huh!! So, that's why I didn't get to take photos of cows we went by, the road we crossed over and other beautiful paths we crossed..!!
Another great afternoon after the gym, we drove to Radford so Matt can do some running with his papa. In Radford, there is this peaceful awfully large park with running/walking paved path along side the river. They only made one loop which is 1.5 mile. Matt wanted to play basket instead. So off to Wall mart we went to get basket since the park where they ran had hoops. Came back to the same place and the 3 of us played basketball for a while.
Another busy afternoon, this is again after the gym, we hiked up to some falls in the middle of the trees and mountains. The hiked was 2 miles up and 2 miles going down of course. The going up was all inclined. I kept stopping to take pictures. Uncle Don came to show us where the falls were. When we got to the top of the mountain where the falls was, I really thought I was in Hawaii. It was BEAUTIFUL.
And one good morning, my niece and her husband drove to see us. We went to see the Virginia Tech which is nearby and took photos.
