Lazzzzzy run.

I have more energy running in the morning. Afternoon runs for me are the hardest. I find myself telling myself to find excuses like this afternoon, it's windy! huh. It's true though, hubby even said that it's not nice running out there. He ran at noon for 45 mins while I was gardening.

I told Matthew this morning while we were walking to school that he is going to run this afternoon with his papa for 2 loops. A loop is 1.5 miles. "It's time to crank it up", I said! He replied "oookayyy.." kind of long word for him to say. He's been running for almost a month now 3 times a week for only a loop at a time. He's been running with his papa.

So, on our way back home from school, walking, I gave him an option to run with me or with his papa. He picked to run with me. So, I said, maybe in 20 minutes after we get home, "fine" he said.

So, when we got home, I went to the backyard and finished re-potting plants. Got in the house to get ready and looked at Matthew, boy, he's already ready for a run. He had his new running shorts on that his papa ordered for him. It gives me such a good feeling when I talked to him with something then give him time and actually don't fuss with me, I say, good job!

So, out the door we went. I said to him, " you can run on your own since I run very slow". Off he went. Dang, that boy ran like his father, fast!! I felt ashamed but, him and everyone else knew that I run slow.  As I was running, I was thinking that kids respond well when you prep them ahead of time. Prepping him a day in advance really works out for all of us. Less fussing, and things goes smoothly.

I planned to do more than 3 miles today but like I said, it's windy! I should've worn my wind blocker and perhaps get more miles in., but oh well, I love sitting on my recliner and blog about nothing. LOL. lazy ass.

This photo below was from Friday run. It was nice sunny day and I was able to get some good miles in. I like my hair tucked in even if it's hot. I don't like a strand of hair keeps popping in and out of my face.
